ABOUT DAVE

A photojournalist by trade and a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times, Dave Getzschman brings a skill set to wedding photography that is highly complimentary. He shoots fast and remains unobtrusive, steadfastly seeking images that communicate what is unique about each wedding.

Dave honed his craft as a staff photographer for several newspapers, collecting runner-up California Press Photographer of the Year in 2005. His iconic 2006 photo of presidential candidate Barack Obama earned him honors from Pictures of the Year International, the premier annual showcase of the world's finest photojournalism. His images have been published in Time, Newsweek, BusinessWeek, Fast Company, Maxim, Photo District News, and every major newspaper in America.

Dave is an associate of Ben Chrisman Photography, one of the top 10 wedding studios in the world, according to American Photo Magazine. He lives in Oakland and is available for travel worldwide.
